Town Files 2nd Complaint Against City of Eau Claire Regarding Annexation of Orchard Hills

On Friday, June 23, the Town of Washington filed a 2nd complaint against the City of Eau Claire in regards to the Orchard Hills annexation. The Town successfully sued the City in the 1st attempt to annex the land, resulting in the previous annexation being declared null and void by the court. In March of 2023, the City adopted a 2nd ordinance annexing the same 438 acres, including a portion of the Eau Claire County park, from the Town by a different method.
