Notice of Future Land Use Map Amendment

An amendment to the Town of Washington Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use Map will be considered at a public hearing before the Town of Washington Plan Commission on Wednesday, July 10, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. and make a recommendation to the Town of Washington Board who will vote on the matter on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 5:00 p.m.
Both meetings will be held at the Town Municipal Building, 5750 Old Town Hall Road, Eau Claire.
The proposed amendment:
- To reclassify one Public Institutional (PI) parcel and one Rural Industrial (RI) parcel in S5-T26N-R9W to Rural Homes (RH)
- To reclassify two Rural Lands (RL) parcels in S8-T26N-R9W to Rural Homes (RH)
- To reclassify Rural Lands (RL) parcels to Rural Transition (RT) parcels from S6-T26N-R9W, S7-T26N-R9W, and S18-T26N-R9W to the west ½ of S6-T26N-R8W, S7-T26N-R8W, and S18-T26N-R8W. (Farmland Credit Parcels removed)
The proposed future land use map amendment can be reviewed at the Town of Washington Municipal Building and on the link below.
You are invited to attend the Plan Commission public hearing and Town Board meeting, or review and comment on the proposed Comprehensive Plan Future Land Use map amendment. Note that the Plan Commission is a recommending body to the Town Board, who has the authority to approve or deny the request.
